POLICIES AND PLANS
CHILD PROTECTION
The Grand Theatre work with children and young people aims to be fun, informative and inspirational. This can only be achieved in an atmosphere of trust and respect. We recognise that all children and young people involved in our Learning programmes and Grand Theatre Academy have a right to protection from abuse. The Grand Theatre has adopted a Child Protection Policy to ensure that we do everything we are able to ensure the safety and protection of all those participating in our Learning programmes. See the Grand Theatre Child Protection Policy, together with forms for parental consent for transporting children to and from the Grand Theatre, and permission for use of photography and recorded images.
For further information please contact the Administrator. Our Child Protection Officer is Board Trustee Katie Lee.

PLEASE NOTE: 'Babes in Arms' tickets are only available for children under 2years and are limited to the back rows of the Stalls, Dress Circle and Upper Circle.
AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT
The Grand Theatre has over 400,000 seats on sale every year! Attracting theatregoers embraces a range of marketing efforts – from increasing the frequency of patron attendance, to attracting first timers and broadening the range of people who attend, engage and participate in our multi-artform programmes. We see audience development as a planned process which involves selecting the shows, our learning programmes and marketing-and-publicity. Although critical to achieving this theatre’s financial objectives, audience development also ensures that the Grand continues to be exciting to the many different communities that we serve. Our audience development is underpinned by research and evaluation.
