Bring the Magic of Christmas to Life

with Blackpool Grand Theatre’s Magic and Sparkle Project

This Christmas, you can be the reason a child smiles, a family feels hope, and a community feels cared for. Blackpool Grand Theatre’s Magic and Sparkle project is your chance to create truly magical moments for those who need it most.

In partnership with Martin Dodd of UK Productions Ltd, Magic and Sparkle invites you to help us light up lives by giving the gift of theatre. Imagine a child’s face lighting up as they step into a world of wonder for the very first time, the joy of shared laughter with their family, and the lasting memory of a Christmas filled with magic.

How You Can Help

🎭 Donate from 1 to 25 tickets – It’s so simple to make a difference. At just £10 per ticket, you can spread joy to as many people as you’d like. Whether it’s one ticket or enough for an entire group, every donation will go directly to bringing local children, families, and community groups to a pantomime they’ll never forget.

Companies can join in too – Instead of sending traditional Christmas cards, why not donate tickets on behalf of your business? Your thoughtful gesture can give the gift of happiness to up to 25 people, making a real difference this festive season.

Why It Matters

For some, Christmas can be a difficult time. Many families and children in our community face challenges that mean festive treats, like a trip to the theatre, are simply out of reach. As a charity, Blackpool Grand Theatre works tirelessly with partners like Arts Council England, Better Start, Curious Minds, and Blackpool Council to ensure everyone has access to the arts.

But we can’t do it alone. With your support, we can share the joy of live theatre – laughter, music, and magic – with those who need it most.

The Impact of Your Generosity

Your gift isn’t just a ticket; it’s a doorway to joy, imagination, and connection. For a child, it might be the first time they’ve experienced the sparkle of live theatre. For a struggling family, it’s a moment to set aside their worries and come together. For a local group, it’s a chance to feel included and valued during the festive season.

Last year, thanks to incredible supporters like you, over 13,000 children enjoyed the magic of The Grand, with many participating in activities that built their confidence, literacy, and numeracy. This year, we’re asking you to help us reach even more hearts.

“At Christmas, we believe magic is all around – in the laughter of a child, the joy of a family, and the sparkle of shared memories. With the Magic and Sparkle project, we’re asking our incredible community to help us create those moments for children and families who need it most. One ticket might seem small, but to them, it could mean the world. It’s about love, generosity, and the true spirit of Christmas – because at Blackpool Grand Theatre, magic really is all around.”
— Andrew Howard, Head of Audiences, Marketing and Sales, Blackpool Grand Theatre

Magic & Sparkle

The Grand in conjunction with Producer Martin Dodd of UK Productions Ltd aims to make the festive season a little more special for local groups, children and families in need with their Magic & Sparkle project. Regular and new pantomime-goers are invited to buy one extra ticket (at a very special discounted rate of £10), which is then donated to local groups, children and families in need.
