One of the most popular seaside resorts in the UK, Blackpool has a wide variety of places to explore.
From delicious food to amazing culture and thrills, there is much to see and do in Blackpool in a day. Here is our suggested guide for 24 hours is this amazing town:
In the Morning: Comedy Carpet
Part of the new events space Tower Festival Headland, the Comedy Carpet features 850 comedians and writers. You’ll find an assortment of writings, such as jokes, in letters ranging from a few centimetres in size to approximately a metre tall.
Start your day by exploring this wonderful work of art designed to celebrate Britain’s most well-loved comedians, with the sound of the ocean as backdrop noise.
Lunchtime: Food at Beach Cafe
We all know how the delightful smell of the ocean can increase the appetite, so why not have a spot of lunch at Beach Cafe? With stunning views over the promenade, it’s the ideal location to take in the views.
Have a relaxing walk to digest the delicious lunch you just had by doing a bit of shopping on the promenade. Have a nosey around the more than 40 shops, which span from high street shops to hilarious souvenir shops that embody the Blackpool spirit.

After you go down the water slides, you can always try the adrenaline-fueled water rides – like the Masterblaster, the world’s longest indoor rollercoaster waterslide. But if you fancy a re-energising and refreshing atmosphere, the park has a steam room, a sauna, foot spas, heated loungers, an ice feature, a salt inhalation room, and an aromatherapy room.
