‘Access Card’ – A Smoother Booking Journey for Guests with Accessibility Needs
At Blackpool Grand Theatre, we are committed to making our booking process more inclusive and accessible for all customers. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Nimbus Disability, a globally recognized social enterprise behind the acclaimed Access Card Scheme.

This collaboration introduces a new level of validation to ensure that our accessible seating and facilities are allocated to those who genuinely require them while reducing the possibility of misuse.
What’s Changing?
Starting 1st December 2024, all guests who require a personal assistant/carer will need an Access Card or a free Digital Access Pass Number from Nimbus Disability to book accessible tickets.
How Does It Work?
You will first need to register for an Access Card or Digital Access pass. Once registered, your Access Card or Pass number will remain valid for three years. Click here to apply for a Digital Access Pass or Access Card
For help and support with your application, visit the Access Card Support Page.
Already have an Access Card? No need to re-register—simply link your existing number to your Blackpool Grand Theatre account.
Linking Your Access Card or Pass to Your Account
After successfully registering, Nimbus will email you a unique Access Pass number, you can then link it to your Blackpool Grand Theatre account. Click here to link an existing access card to our system
Then simply log in or create an account.
If you’re new, our system will create an account for you; just click “Forgotten My Password” to set your login details.
Your accessibility requirements will sync automatically with our ticketing system.
When booking online, seating that meets your requirements will be highlighted on the seating plan (subject to availability).
Need Support?
If online registration isn’t an option for you, Nimbus can assist over the phone at 0330 808 5108.
Access Card vs. Digital Access Pass

Why This Matters
By partnering with Nimbus Disability, we’re enhancing our ability to understand and cater to your accessibility needs. Benefits include:
Privacy: No need to repeatedly share supporting documents or explain your circumstances. Register once, and Nimbus manages the rest.
Personalized Adjustments: Access to essential companion tickets and specific seating tailored to your requirements.
