Blackpool Grand Theatre has partnered with COASTAL Radio DAB for their popular Drive Time show with star presenters Hayley Tamaddon and Dan Whiston!

Blackpool’s iconic theatre is teaming up with this exciting new local radio station as part of The Grand’s ongoing commitment to working with and supporting organisations in the local community wherever possible.

Andrew Howard, Head of Audiences, Marketing and Sales at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre, said: “COASTAL was the perfect fit for The Grand. It’s got a great line-up of presenters and we feel it will be a vital community resource and a very welcome addition to the resort as a whole.

“Hayley Tamaddon and Dan Whiston are great supporters of The Grand and, of course, Hayley is the glamorous Good Fairy in our family panto Sleeping Beauty this year! We were also thrilled to see Ged Mills and Hayley Kay returning to the airwaves for their much-loved breakfast show on COASTAL. Both Ged and Hayley are regulars at the theatre too, so it all added up to the perfect match!”

COASTAL Radio DAB has been launched by Paula Davies who was Station Director at Blackpool’s legendary radio station Radio Wave. On air Monday to Friday from 2pm to 6pm with star presenters Hayley Tamaddon and Dan Whiston.

TV sensation Hayley wowed TV audiences when she took the top spot in ITV’s smash-hit reality skating show Dancing on Ice alongside childhood friend and professional ice skater Dan. Hayley also scooped the top prize in Celebrity Stars in Your Eyes and has starred in countless West End productions from Chicago to Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and top TV dramas from Coronation St and Emmerdale to Shameless. Hayley will sprinkle some seasonal magic as the Good Fairy in this year’s fabulous family pantomime Sleeping Beauty at Blackpool Grand Theatre alongside panto legend and Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Steve Royle and the delightfully daft dame Philip Meeks.

Dan Whiston is best known as a professional ice skater, three-time champion and now Creative Director on ITV’s Dancing on Ice and has also appeared on stage in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs at Blackpool’s Grand in 2015 alongside Su Pollard and Steve Royle.

Blackpool’s Grand will also be offering extra special access to show cast members with top exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes trivia, backstage gossip and lots more on Going Home with Hayley & Dan on COASTAL Radio DAB every Monday to Friday from 2pm to 6pm.
