Overview
Blackpool Symphony Orchestra return! Join us for a ‘spooktacular’ Halloween Family Afternoon Concert with all of your favourite spooky tunes played by a live 50 piece orchestra.
We have something for everyone from ‘Ghostbusters’, the Addams Family theme tune, music from the world’s most famous wizard ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Defying Gravity’ from Wicked.
We’ll follow witches on broomsticks as they whizz through the air (‘Witches Sunday’, Berlioz) to celebrate Halloween on top of a ‘Bare Mountain’ (Mussorgsky). If it gets chilly on the mountain we have a Ritual Fire Dance (Falla) to warm us up as well as a Firebird Finale (Stravinsky) too! And we’ll squeeze in a visit to the Mountain King’s famous Hall (Grieg) too.
We can’t wait to see your favourite Halloween costumes and enjoy a family-friendly afternoon together with brilliant music making this a Halloween to remember!
