Blackpool’s Grand Theatre has been busy working behind the scenes for the past six months to launch a brand-new Vlog channel gVlog – answering all those question we know you want to know like, Who, What, Where, When, Why?!
This new channel part of the Grand’s gPlayer project will be hosted by local radio presenter, and huge fan of Blackpool’s Grand Theatre, Hayley Kay.
Blackpool’s Grand has called on the help of VisitBlackpool to assist with the search for the next generation of fantastic Vloggers. Blackpool’s Grand wants to hear from you. They’re looking for young people (18-26), families, couples and seniors with a passion for live entertainment.
Guest Vloggers will record their trips to The Grand, reviewing shows or can take part in activities like; photographic sessions, behind the scenes tours, access to casts, rehearsals as well as joining their incredible creative workshops with the likes of international choreographers, writers and directors – they want great people at the heart of Blackpool’s premier theatre!
Vloggers will also get to go on ‘go see’s’ reviewing shows prior to them coming to Blackpool’ Grand giving you the insight of what’s coming up at your local theatre soon.
Blackpool’s Grand needs people who are great with a camera and have a lively and engaging presence.
You’ll be invited as their guests to a wide variety of shows from international dance and West End musicals, to quality drama and live music, and let’s not forget some of the best family shows touring the UK. They may even send you to another theatre so you can tell Blackpool what the forthcoming shows are like!
As a Vlogger they want you to record your thoughts, expectations, a true review!
Your Vlog will then be published and promoted across The Grand’s new gVlog Channel, website and social media channels.
You don’t need to be a professional host, or have years of presenting experience, you just need to be passionate about live entertainment and have the energy and enthusiasm to present your thoughts. They’ll also help you with editing the raw footage you create if needed.
Putting you right at the heart of the action!
So, how do you become part of this incredible opportunity…? All you need to do right now is send them a two-minute clip of you in action… imagine you’re reviewing a recent show you’ve seen, or interview a friend about something you’ve both seen either at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre, or somewhere else. It’s just so they can see how brilliant you are!
The Grand is looking for a wide selection of Vloggers, all ages – So if you’re a fan of live entertainment and love giving your point of view they want to hear from you!
Just think you could be reviewing such breath-taking shows as the Russian Ballet of Siberia or Madama Butterfly, hit musical 20th Century Boy, and OMG! You Guys yes… Legally Blonde the Musical. In addition to great new touring productions of Rudyard Kipling’s family classic The Jungle Book, and the incredible stage production of The Kite Runner.
As a Grand Vlogger, you’ll even get a welcome drink at the bar, and a programme* so your night is complete. Of course, all your brilliant work will be credited.
You’ll need to have your own camera (high-quality) and be able to get the footage to the theatre within 24hrs (but they can even help you with that too!).
