This exciting new co-production from Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Blackpool Grand perfectly captures the idealism of the 1950s and its rock ‘n’ roll rebellion dreams and desires, with plenty of iconic songs and high-energy dance routines along the way. Go Greased Lightnin’ and follow the whirlwind romance between sweet new girl Sandy Dumbrowski and popular cool guy Danny Zuko who find their summer lovin’ challenged by the pressures of teenage life at Rydell High School. Slick back your hair and join the fabulous Pink Ladies and the Burger Boys as they rock and roll into Blackpool this June to bring all the fun of the fifties to your Summer Nights and rule the school once more. Rock ‘n’ roll is here to stay, and it’ll blow your bobby socks off!

More West End and Broadway big hitters joining the roll call at The Grand this season include an unforgettable royal appointment with the Iron Lady versus The Crown in Moira Buffini’s fiercely funny, fly-on-the-wall comedy Handbagged featuring fun reworkings of 80s pop classics; a beautiful new adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic tale of Little Women starring Belinda Lang (2point4 Children) and Honeysuckle Weeks (Foyles War); Stephen Daldry’s award-winning National Theatre production of JB Priestley’s gripping thriller An Inspector Calls; Willy Russell’s iconic one-woman tour-de-force Shirley Valentine starring Mina Anwar (The Thin Blue Line); James Graham’s acclaimed production of Alan Bleasdale’s Boys From The Blackstuff; the welcome return of the smash-hit rock ‘n’ roll spec-tacle Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story and, just announced, the thrilling stage production of Stephen King’s The Shawshank Redemption will hold everyone captive this September. We’ve got chills…

Celebrity names you’ll be screaming to see include the sensational songstress Elkie Brooks on her farewell tour; 80s pop icon Matt Goss bringing his brand new show to Blackpool for one night only; amazing adventurer Simon Reeve telling wild stories and bringing hearty laughs, and, just announced, the one and only Leo Sayer will make you Feel Like Dancing!

Race to The Grand for hot comedy nights with TV favourite Josh Widdicombe; cheeky camp comic Julian Clary, witty whirlwind Russell Kane, Saturday night legend Harry Hill starching up his big collar once more, and the very welcome return of The Lancashire Hotpots with their Definitely Gravy tour. And don’t forget… Strictly champ and stand up sensation Chris McCausland will also be back in 2026 by popular demand!

Dance is still firmly in the spotlight this season as renowned choreographer Rosie Kay presents her ‘beautiful and thrilling’ new work A Thing Of Beauty; London City Ballet dazzle with a vibrant showcase of rarely seen international pieces, and dance legends Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood will each bring fab-u-lous evenings of song, dance and laughter.

There’s a whole lot of family fun too! Inspire young minds with a captivating new stage adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s brilliantly heart-warming and five-star hit Pig Heart Boy; have a roarsome time as Natural History Museum’s presents its first ever tour with Dinosaur’s Live; try something wonderfully new with the chuckle-out-loud tale of The Koala Who Could and bring the classics beautifully to life for little ones with the RSC’s First Encounters production of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

And, of course, any new season at The Grand wouldn’t be complete without Blackpool’s number one magical family pantomime Beauty and The Beast starring everyone’s favourite comic and Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Steve Royle as Louis La Plonk with full star casting to be announced. Oh yes it is!

Blackpool Grand Theatre Chief Executive, Adam Knight, said: “This electrifying new season follows yet another record-breaking pantomime at The Grand, and I would like to thank all our patrons for continuing to make magical memories at our beautiful theatre year after year.

“We are also thrilled to be co-producing some of this year’s most anticipated new shows – a masterful new adaptation of Little Women with leading West End producer Lee Dean and Grease The Musical with Scotland’s Pitlochry Festival Theatre in June, as well as co-commissioning a major new dance work from the internationally renowned Gary Clarke Company with DETENTION.

“The Grand welcomes the return of our professionally produced Summer Youth Musical in August with huge excitement following last year’s smash-hit success. This year’s production of Wind in The Willows will feature a whole host of talented local performers aged 9 to 19. There are also exciting educational opportunities for young people, teachers and schools with five fabulous plays as part of National Theatre Connections written for and performed by young people from across the region; and the RSC Playmaking Festival as part of our RSC Associate Schools programme, which is linked to the RSC’s First Encounters performances of The Tempest.

“And don’t forget – The winner of 6 Tony Awards®, the Grammy® Award and the Olivier Award for Best Musical, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, will be arriving at Blackpool Grand this May! Whether you’re an Evan superfan or new to the heartwarming stage phenomenon, don’t miss your chance to Disappear into one of the most celebrated stage shows of our time, with extraordinarily relatable characters and a breathtaking soundtrack.
