The Grand Theatre and UK Productions are delighted to announce that the hugely popular Radio Wave Breakfast presenter, Hayley Kay, will return in this year’s spectacular pantomime Aladdin. Kay will be starring alongside Bafta award-winning children’s presenter Barney Harwood, BBC Radio Lancashire presenter and Grand Theatre pantomime favourite Steve Royle and Holby City/Coronation Street Star Mark Moraghan.

Hayley Kay wakes up the Fylde Coast every morning, along with her ‘on-air husband’ Ged Mills on The Radio Wave Breakfast Show.

Born and bred in Blackpool, Hayley is proud to be a ‘Sandgrown’un’ and says “If I was cut in half you’d see Blackpool running through me – just like a stick of rock!”

Twenty years ago she started DJ’ing and became the Fylde’s first mainstream female DJ and presenter. Since then Hayley has DJ’d all over the Fylde Coast for everyone from holiday makers in town to the Prime Minister at a Party Conference.

She joined the team at Radio Wave in 2000 and presented the Breakfast Show with Roy Lynch from 2003 before becoming part of Ged and Hayley at Breakfast from 2009.

Hayley is a well-known presenter at events across the Fylde Coast including the Blackpool 10K Fun Run, Education Awards, Illumination Switch On, NHS Awards, Santa Dash, Miss Blackpool, Trinity’s Illumathon and this year she hosted Lytham Festival.  She’s also hosted School’s Alive at The Grand Theatre since 2002 and works for various local charities; she is also a proud ambassador for the Blackpool Carers Centre, Blackpool Scouts & Girlguiding UK.

Last December Hayley became a Mum for the first time to Freddie who she says has changed her whole life. This Christmas, however, Hayley is delighted to be returning for a fourth time to the beautiful Grand Theatre in Aladdin “It’s a privilege to perform at such a beautiful, historic theatre & I can’t wait to get started!”

Andrew Howard, Grand Theatre Marketing Manager said,

“I am overjoyed that Hayley will return after her huge popularity. We can’t wait for her to join the amazing cast we have this year from TV presenters and Comedians to stars of prime time Soaps – We know this is going to be another record-breaking year!”

Packed full of fun and adventure for all the family, Aladdin is another spectacular pantomime from producer Martin Dodd at UK Productions.
