Knitting Mania!

Knitters far and wide from Blackpool to America are busy knitting parts of the amazing set for Inspector Norse!
Work is under way to create parts of the set for this brilliant production. The set will feature a tree with hundreds of knitted leaves; knitted icicles and not forgetting…knitted body organs! Bizarre? Maybe. Well worth coming to see though!
The knitted set has roused quite an interest in local knitting groups and individual knitters alike. We have knitters from local groups such as Aunty Social’s Knittaz with Attitude, Westcliffe Knitting, a Leeds College of Art knitting group, as well as a knitter from Minneapolis, USA!
After seeing information about Inspector Norse on a knitting blog, knitter Jean Harper from Minneapolis contacted the Grand Theatre to get involved! Jean is currently creating a knitted human heart for the production and will be sending it all the way over to Blackpool’s Grand Theatre to feature in Inspector Norse. Now that’s what we call World Premiere knitting!
