Blackpool Grand Theatre is holding Taster Sessions to recruit for this year’s GRAND Young Company. This is not just any young company, Blackpool’s Grand is part of the National Theatre’s prestigious Connections programme.

Connections is the National Theatre’s nationwide youth theatre. Each year they provide support to a network of youth theatres all over the country to stage new plays written especially for young people by some of theatre’s most exciting playwrights.

If you are aged between 14-19 years and have an interest in any aspect of theatre, you are invited to be a part of this young company.

If you think this is for you and would love to learn more The Grand is offering two free 2hour Taster Sessions Join us on Monday 10 or 17 October at 6.30pm. You’ll have to opportunity to ask questions, and learn more about the company – you need only attend one of the dates.

The GRAND Young Company meets on Monday evenings between 6pm and 9pm in theSTUDIO at The Grand. One of the aims of the company is to create a piece of theatre which is performed at The Grand and hopefully selected for regional and NT performance.

Those who are interested in performance, theatre design (including lighting and sound), stage management, marketing and all aspects of theatre-making, are all encouraged to apply.

The cost is £20 membership fee, plus £5 per session.
