Make someone’s Christmas truly magical and donate tickets for the fabulous family pantomime Cinderella with the Magic and Sparkle project at Blackpool Grand Theatre.
Everyone could go to the ball this Christmas as Blackpool Grand Theatre spreads festive cheer with its heartwarming Magic and Sparkle project. Oh yes it does!
You could be the reason a family feels hope, and a community feels cared for this Christmas…
The Grand’s Magic and Sparkle initiative, in partnership with Martin Dodd of UK Productions Ltd, is your chance to help create truly magical moments for those who need it most by inviting the community to help grant the gift of pantomime tickets to those who might otherwise miss out on all the festive fun.
Imagine a child’s face lighting up as they step into a world of wonder for the very first time, feel the joy of shared laughter with their family or schoolfriends, and hold the lasting memory of a Christmas filled with the magic.
But how does it work? Simply donate anything from one to 25 pantomime tickets at just £10 per ticket and spread joy to as many people as you’d like. Whether it’s one ticket or enough for an entire group – every donation will go directly to bringing local children, families and community groups to a pantomime they’ll never forget. Companies can join in too – Instead of sending traditional Christmas cards, why not donate tickets on behalf of your business?
For some, Christmas can be a difficult time. Many families and children in our community face challenges that mean festive treats, like a trip to the theatre, are simply out of reach. As a charity, Blackpool Grand Theatre works tirelessly with partners like Arts Council England, Better Start, Curious Minds and Blackpool Council to ensure everyone has access to the arts.
But we can’t do it alone. With your support, we can share the joy of live theatre with those who need it most.
Last year, thanks to our incredible supporters, over 13,000 children enjoyed the magic of The Grand, with many participating in activities that build confidence, literacy and numeracy. Just some of the organisations that have benefited already are Dads 4 Life, Blackpool Scouts, Blackpool Carers and, most recently, Devonshire Primary Academy who were able to visit the Cinderella pantomime this month thanks to the Magic and Sparkle project.
Year Six Teacher at Devonshire Primary Academy, Samantha O’Hagan, said: “The pantomime was absolutely fantastic, and the children were enthralled and couldn’t stop laughing – especially at the Ugly Sisters, while Buttons had the adults in stitches with his brilliant wit and charm. It was so wonderful of Magic and Sparkle to give the children of Devonshire Academy the opportunity to experience such a magical morning.”
Head of Audiences, Marketing and Sales, Blackpool Grand Theatre, Andrew Howard, said: “At Christmas, we believe magic is all around – in the laughter of a child, the joy of a family, and the sparkle of shared memories. With the Magic and Sparkle project, we’re asking our incredible community to help us create those moments for children and families who need it most. One ticket might seem small, but to them, it could mean the world. It’s about love, generosity, and the true spirit of Christmas – because at Blackpool Grand Theatre, magic really is all around.”
Be a spark of joy this Christmas. Donate to Magic and Sparkle today by visiting www.blackpoolgrand.co.uk/magicandsparkle and make someone’s Christmas unforgettable. Let’s make Christmas brighter, together one ticket at a time.
