Home of great Pantomime Blackpool Grand is in full swing for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this Christmas!
It may be just the start of the year, but Blackpool Grand Theatre’s pantomime tradition is in full swing already!
Mirror, Mirror on the wall… What’s the greatest panto of them all? Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Blackpool’s Grand of course… Pantomime producers UK Productions Ltd are hard at work getting the production ready for this years upcoming Christmas extravaganza Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. It’s an all year round job creating the magic and involves a dedicated team of designers, carpenters, scenic artists, costume makers and metal workers to make the magic happen
With an incredible attention for detail, the set includes a fabulously quaint cottage pictured, the painters and builders are all hard at work, never mind the number of seamstresses – it’s hi-ho, hi-ho hectic!
Martin Dodd for UK Productions in association with Blackpool Grand Theatre will present Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this year.
Excitement is building as the theatre star name is soon to be announced and will join Blackpool panto legend Steve Royle (BBC Radio Lancashire). This year will be Royle’s 18th appearance at Blackpool Grand Theatre, the home of traditional pantomime. Joining the cast once again will be the incredible dancers from the Barbara Jackson Theatre Arts Centre with choreography by Katie Hill.
Royle is a comedian, radio presenter, actor, writer, husband and Dad. His many TV appearances have included Phoenix Nights, Max & Paddy, Behind The Scene, That’s Entertainment, Stand-up Britain, Give Your Mate A Break, The Afternoon Show, Talk Of The North, The Things You Do For Love, and despite being one of the North West’s healthiest males (according to Steve!), a medical insurance commercial for Medicash.
This year, as Muddles, Royle will make his 18th annual appearance on the Blackpool Grand stage at Christmas. The full star cast is soon to be announced.
Join Steve and the cast for the greatest pantomime ever told, poor Snow White is doomed to live unhappily ever after with her horrid stepmother the Wicked Queen. In true rags-to-riches style Snow White hopes, with the help of her madcap friend Muddles, to meet a handsome Prince and make her dreams come true.
Blackpool Grand pantomime as always will be bursting with great songs, stunning dance routines and huge amounts of laughter, this is a truly magical treat for all the family you won’t want to miss!
